Photos: February’s Angel Hour at Zoetropolis in Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Established in 2021, The Angel Hour is a monthly drag show in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, curated by Charlize Angelz (@candidlyaustin), a cherished friend since middle school and a guiding light into Lancaster's vibrant LGBTQ+ community. I had the pleasure of photographing Austin for the inaugural Angel Hour in 2021 and continue to document this spectacular event each month.

Taking place at the Zoetropolis Theatre, Angel Hour fosters an intimate and inclusive atmosphere within Lancaster's queer nightlife scene. Hosted by Charlize Angelz, the show features two to three iconic drag artists who perform two numbers each, showcasing their talents and fashion alongside Charlize and Angel Hour mainstay Nevaeha L’Vixenn. Zoetropolis has delicious food, a stellar bar menu, and a welcoming staff, making it the perfect venue to grab a bite and then enjoy a drink with friends from the comfort of the theatre chairs & couches. The next Angel Hour is scheduled for Saturday, April 20th at 9 PM. Spread the word and perhaps make a dinner reservation before the show!
